The TL;DR
Carlo is an app for paying attention to your money. You log what you spend; the data is yours. I don't sell it, train on it, or hand it to advertisers — none of which is in this agreement, because none of it is what I do.
What is in this agreement: the standard legal terms for using the app, paying for a subscription, and handling disputes if anything ever needs handling.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using Carlo ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and my Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Carlo.
If you're using Carlo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Who I am
Carlo is operated by Integral Organization Development, LLC, a New York limited liability company that I solely own and operate. Carlo is a one-person company by design.
Throughout these Terms, "I," "me," "my," and "Carlo" refer to Integral Organization Development, LLC. The LLC is the contracting party for all purposes. The Limitation of Liability section (Section 11) and Governing Law section (Section 13) use the LLC's full name to make the contracting entity explicit.

3. The Service
Carlo is a privacy-first manual-entry personal finance application. You log your transactions by hand or by voice. Carlo does not connect to your bank.
I may add, modify, or remove features at any time. I'll try to give reasonable notice for material changes.
4. Your account
To use Carlo, you must create an account using Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In. You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and the device(s) on which Carlo is installed.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Carlo (and meet the minimum age in your jurisdiction, which may be higher). If you're under 18, I recommend parental involvement.
5. Subscriptions and free trial
Carlo offers a 30-day free trial that gives full access to all features. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription, billed monthly or annually through Apple's App Store or Google Play.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not through Carlo.
Pricing. Current pricing is shown in the app and on carlo.money. I may change pricing for new subscriptions, but existing subscribers continue at their current rate until their next renewal.
Refunds. Refunds for subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. I don't process refunds directly.
Trial. You can cancel during the trial and pay nothing.
6. Your data
You own the data you create in Carlo: your transactions, notes, photos, and reflections. I license that data only to provide the Service to you. I don't claim ownership.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. Carlo is a tool for awareness; it is not a substitute for bookkeeping, accounting, or financial advice.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Carlo for illegal purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Bypass authentication, encryption, or other security measures
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Resell or redistribute Carlo or your subscription
- Use Carlo in ways that could harm or overload my infrastructure
- Use Carlo to harass, defraud, or harm others
I may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Intellectual property
Carlo's name, logo, design, code, and content are owned by Integral Organization Development, LLC. You may not use them without permission, except for normal personal use of the Service.
The Carlo Acutis dedication included in the app refers to a public religious figure and is offered in good faith. Saint Carlo Acutis is not affiliated with this product, nor does the Catholic Church endorse it.
9. Third-party services
Carlo uses third-party services to operate (Supabase, Cloudflare, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Anthropic, Groq, Postmark). Your use of Carlo is subject to those services' own terms where applicable.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Carlo is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." I don't warrant that Carlo will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for your particular purpose. The data you log is your responsibility; Carlo does not verify financial accuracy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, I disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Integral Organization Development, LLC's total liability for any claim arising from your use of Carlo is limited to the amount you paid to the LLC in the 12 months before the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Integral Organization Development, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
These limitations apply even if Integral Organization Development, LLC was advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Termination
You can stop using Carlo and delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account. I can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
Termination does not entitle you to a refund of subscription fees already paid.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of Carlo will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
These Terms are entered into between you and Integral Organization Development, LLC.
EU users: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights under EU law, including your right to bring claims in your home country.
14. Changes to terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. If I make material changes, I'll notify you in the app and update the "Effective Date" at the top. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
16. Entire agreement
These Terms and my Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Integral Organization Development, LLC regarding Carlo.
